REFUGEES - THEN AND NOW
Set in the context of Australia, Peter Gaspar (himself a refugee from Nazi Europe) explores the experiences of refugees in Australia then and today. Peter shares his experience of arriving in Australia and how he adapted to (and ultimately thrived in) Australian culture. The session will also look at current-day Australia to reflect on issues of racism and discrimination and the current climate in relation to refugees.
